WASHINGTON – The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chairman and CEO David Solomon will participate in a fireside chat with NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay on Jan. 14 at NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show.
“David Solomon is a visionary leader of one of the premier global investment banks of the modern era,” NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said. “We look forward to hearing his insights on the Main Stage at Retail’s Big Show and what consumers and retailers can expect from the changing dynamic of the global economic landscape.”
Solomon has had a distinguished career in investment banking and has been with Goldman Sachs since 1999. In 2017, he assumed the role of president and chief operating officer and was named CEO the following year. In 2019, Solomon joined the bank’s board of directors.

CEO Ashley Buchanan, Target CEO Brian Cornell, Shopify President Harley Finkelstein, Walmart U.S. President and CEO John Furner, New Balance Athletics Inc. The annual convention will be held in New York City Jan. 12-14 and is expected to bring together more than 5,000 brands and 40,000 attendees from nearly 100 countries.
