WASHINGTON – The National Retail Federation today announced that it has hired veteran loss prevention expert David Johnston as vice president for asset protection and retail operations.

His industry experience and knowledge will further elevate NRF’s loss prevention programs, communications and advocacy work.”
A career retail professional, Johnston has more than three decades of asset protection experience across various retail segments. Prior to joining NRF, he served as Sr. Director, Loss Prevention & Corporate Security for Inspire Brands. His experience also includes roles with Dunkin’, LP Innovations and micros|Datavantage and former retailers J. Baker Inc. and Jordan Marsh.
Johnston has also been a longstanding member of NRF’s Loss Prevention Advisory Council and has been a featured speaker at NRF PROTECT.
