The National Retail Federation and its members share the goal of promoting diversity and increasing effectiveness of diversity programs in the retail industry. Together, we are committed to diversity in every arena, including, but not limited to, ethnicity, race, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation and physical ability.
As a service-based industry, retailers understand the need for an inclusive and respectful environment that reaches all of their customers, employees and vendors. Retailers value these relationships and recognize the importance of diversity in the growth of their businesses.
The revised and updated NRF Diversity Statement was adopted by the NRF Board of Directors in June 2004. The original statement was adopted in 1998.
