Web Content Manager

Responsibilities: Researches, develops, and updates content for NRF’s websites based on content strategies and editorial calendar, develops an on-going strategy for ensuring the website’s content is current, consistent, audience-appropriate, and accurate, ensures all new communications (blog posts, press releases, research reports) are represented accurately and posted on the appropriate sites, partners with internal divisions on current research programs, projects, and policy issues, and develops clear and concise web content about the initiatives, collaborates with NRF Marketing and IT teams for creative web imagery, monitors utilization and effectiveness of websites and key web pages using Google Analytics; identifies areas for improvement and provides recommendations, serves as point person for organization’s use of Real Magnet email platform and trains organization staff on the program, trains internal staff on performing web updates, writes copy and coordinates related content for daily SmartBrief newsletters.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, web design, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience; minimum 4 years experience writing and editing for websites and electronic communications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Error-free writer with strong proofreading skills and attention to detail. Creative writer, able to alter style according to audience. Experience with Google Analytics. Basic understanding of HTML. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner. High level of professionalism and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. Ability to work in a team environment.

Manager, Marketing

Responsibilities: Manage all activities surrounding event marketing communications for NRF and its related-divisions. Develop targeted marketing plans for each event and project, including goals, strategies, programs and tactics, and achievement metrics, within budget guidelines; determine key messaging and themes, and conceptualizes creative strategies; craft creative strategy for marketing tactics, including direct mail, email, social, advertising, blog, web, and trades. Manage external agencies – designers, printers, mail houses – to produce brochures, postcards, emails, print ads, and Web elements aligned with creative strategy; leverage internal assets such as NRF’s blogs, SmartBriefs and STORES Magazine and work in tandem with the Communications Department to utilize social media vehicles; conduct detailed return-on-investment analyses of marketing campaign results, customer, demographics, and market conditional to optimize marketing strategies; identify and expand marketing audiences and grow the NRF’s brands among desired audiences; ensure the proper communication of the brands to all audiences; oversee the production of marketing and communications collateral; and report on and analyze results of all marketing efforts. This position will also interact with and support in-house marketing campaigns that are not related to events.


Qualifications: Significant experience in marketing or marketing communications, including 6 years experience in digital marketing strategy, including email, social, mobile, and search; direct and print marketing and web content and copywriting. Proven ability to craft creative marketing plans at the strategic level and execute at the operational level. Ability to work in a fast-paced, accelerated timeframe, multi-discipline environment, independently as well as within a team. Must be extremely detail oriented and experienced meeting multiple deadlines. Strong organizing and interpersonal skills required. Advanced user of MS Office Suite. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Some travel.
