QVC's Mike George on putting mobile first
It might be a retailer known for selling on TV, but QVC has emerged as a leader in e-commerce. Keynoting the Shop.org Digital Summit in Philadelphia, QVC President and CEO Mike George discussed how the company’s digital strategy has evolved.
One of QVC’s strengths is the fun and excitement of discovery, and the multichannel experience gives the brand an opporutnity to tell even richer stories. In his presentation, George shared how the company reorganized around the new customer journey, keeping the focus on the customer rather than the device. Consumers’ increasing reliance and comfort with mobile has transformed the company, and QVC has adapted to think of the small screen as the most important one for e-commerce.
