Based on the travel restrictions many of our members have already put in place and ongoing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus, NRF has decided to cancel the April 14-15 Employment Law meeting. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you might incur in rescheduling your flight or other travel arrangements.
We are looking at several options to get you the content and discussion opportunities which are such a valuable part of our twice-yearly meeting. This may include half-day webinars, teleconferencing or other alternatives. The meeting might also be rescheduled for a later date once the uncertainty is behind us.
NRF has resources and information on our website that you might find helpful -- Coronavirus Resources for Retailers, and we will continue to provide members with timely updates and communicate important information regarding the coronavirus as the situation evolves.
The spring meeting of the NRF Committee on Employment Law brings together in-house legal counsel and senior human resource executives from leading retailers as well as outside labor counsel. Programming will include discussions on labor, human resources, and employment law issues, including trends in litigation, recent court decisions of importance to the industry, and best practices in effectively complying with labor laws and regulations. The meeting is designed to promote peer discussion and knowledge sharing around key issues in HR and labor management through dynamic and participatory sessions. Along with the meeting itself, there will be ample opportunities to network with your peers to share ideas, insights, challenges, and best practices.
