The retail industry relies on truck drivers to support supply chains and help meet the needs of our customers and communities. America needs to add more than 1,100,000 truck drivers over the next decade; in 2019 alone, more than 60,800 driving jobs went unfilled due to federal barriers to hiring qualified drivers. The DRIVE-Safe Act makes reforms that would allow young people to enter a lucrative profession and jumpstart their careers while addressing the truck driver shortage.

Congress is currently considering the Protecting the Right to Organize Act, known as the PRO Act. This bill would drastically rewrite current labor laws in favor of organized labor and at the expense of retailers and their workforces. The PRO Act is bad for businesses and worse for workers while pandemic hardships continue.
