WASHINGTON – The NRF Foundation today announced that it has hired Adam Lukoskie, an operations and program leader at the prestigious Teach For America education nonprofit. Lukoskie will oversee the Foundation’s RISE Up training and credentialing program and spearhead creation and execution of additional resources that prepare people for retail jobs and careers.

As vice president of the Foundation, Lukoskie will oversee management of all major programs, ensure that efforts between the Foundation and the National Retail Federation on advocacy, workforce issues and research are aligned, and develop strategies, programs and activities to maintain the Foundation’s position as the leading philanthropic organization for the retail industry. Among other duties, he will oversee the Foundation’s RISE Up program, multi-million-dollar scholarship portfolio, the NRF Job Board and the NRF Foundation’s student activities, including the Student Program at Retail’s Big Show.
Lukoskie spent the past 10 years in multiple leadership roles at Teach For America, one of the nation’s top education nonprofits. In his last role as senior managing director of procurement, he oversaw the purchasing of more than $35 million a year in services and supplies and developed a system that improved the efficiency of the organization’s procurement process, all while running a department that scored among the top of all Teach For America teams across all metrics.
Lukoskie holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, leadership and management from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minn.) and an MBA from Georgetown University.
