Mary Kita is the National Retail Federation’s executive assistant to the chief marketing officer and executive vice president of content and retail strategy. She works closely with the marketing and content teams as well as other NRF staff in scheduling meetings, alongside handling logistics for meetings and events for a number of NRF councils.
Prior to joining NRF in 2015, Kita worked in the association world where she spent the majority of her career in the brewing industry. Starting as a secretary in the U.S. Brewers Association, she spent the next 30 years in various positions and played an instrumental role in the formation of the successor organization, the Beer Institute. As director of administration, she handled all administrative functions and was responsible for planning and executing all meetings and events of the association.
Kita attended the University of Maryland and has completed numerous continuing education programs throughout the years. She is a native of the DMV and loves to spend time with her grandchildren.
