March was Women’s History Month — an occasion to not only honor the achievements of women around the globe, but also a reminder there’s still work to be done. Prioritizing gender equality must occur 365 days a year. This rings true now more than ever when women, especially those of color, are being disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Women’s jobs are 1.8 times more vulnerable to the crisis than men’s jobs.
Not only are women at risk – their companies are, too. Studies indicate that company profits are almost 50 percent higher when women are well represented at the top. Gender equality is imperative for every retailer and company’s success.
