Retail Advertising and Marketing Association Announces Coveted RACie Award Finalists
Washington, February 6, 2009 -The Retail Advertising and Marketing Association has announced the finalists for the 2009 RACie Awards (Retail Award for Creativity innovation and excellence). The winners will be revealed during the Retail Advertising Conference February 25-27 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. RACie Award finalists were selected by a distinguished panel of top advertising executives in the retail industry.
Retail’s most creative and innovative executives will gather at the RACie Awards Dinner and Ceremony on Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. where the RACie award winners will be announced.
“In tough times it’s more important than ever for retailers to stand out among their competition,” said RAMA Executive Director Mike Gatti. “We were thrilled to see such great submissions by retailers and their marketing and advertising teams this year and we commend their dedication and hard work.”

The Retail Advertising Conference program will include a variety of informational sessions and expert guest speakers, including Michael J. Boylson, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at JCPenney; Bert Jacobs, Founder of Life is good, Inc.; and Chip Wilson, Founder of lululemon athletica.
Additionally, RAC will host creative workshops and peer networking events designed to bring together executives and their partners in informal settings. The conference is the only annual gathering dedicated solely to the art of advertising and marketing in the retail industry.
The Retail Advertising & Marketing Association, a division of the National Retail Federation, is a trade association of over 1500 retail marketing and advertising executives, plus their supporting partners from the advertising agency, media and service-provider areas. RAMA sponsors the annual Retail Advertising Conference, the largest single gathering of retail marketing and advertising professionals in the industry today. RAMA also produces the RACie Awards Competition, the most prestigious creative contest in retail.
