Some people mix kale in their salad; others toss it in their smoothies. And then there’s Christian Louboutin’s take on the trendy leafy green vegetable. Word has it that the famed shoe designer is working in collaboration with Whole Foods Market on a running shoe made from it.
Sources say the shoe is 100 percent compostable, completely organic and features a leafy print design. Breaking from the norm, Louboutin has traded his signature red sole for a green one on this latest design, and his signature is embedded in the sole. The retail price is expected to be a lot of green -- $1,100 to be specific.
