Retail Insight Center Puts Industry Data in One Place
The NRF Foundation has launched the Retail Insight Center to offer retailers and others one-stop shopping when researching industry trends.
The new website features analysis and highlights of NRF’s consumer spending surveys, key government indicators tracking the economy, retail and employment and other data on retail companies, economic trends and factors that influence purchasing. Users can access information from a variety of sources and compile custom reports drawing data from multiple sources. In addition, the Foundation will use the center to release quarterly reports offering an in-depth look at research surrounding industry issues and trends.
Located at research.nrffoundation.com, the center is funded by a contribution from audit, tax and advisory firm KPMG.
Cantrell to Speak at European Conference
Shop.org Executive Director Vicki Cantrell will be among the keynote speakers when online retailers from around the world gather in Barcelona this month for the fifth annual Global E-commerce Summit.
Cantrell will speak on “The State of U.S. Retail: Innovation at its Finest,” addressing issues such as same-day delivery, “curated” shopping experiences and mobile retailing. She will highlight U.S. commerce trends, e-commerce growth and changing retail organizational structures.
Shop.org, NRF’s division for digital retailing, is a partner in the conference, along with trade association Ecommerce Europe and Dutch multimedia company BBP Media. Shop.org will host a dinner and other networking events for retailers attending the meeting.
