As soon as Seattle's strong coffee kicked in, #shoporg14 conversations from the Student Program at the Shop.org Summit started buzzing yesterday on Twitter and Instagram.

During a panel discussion with young digital professionals about their "cool jobs" in retail, students shared quotable tidbits from REI's Allen Moore, Walmart's Mike Luu, Lilly Pulitzer's Eleni Tavantzis and Amazon's Anne Carrihill.

In a second panel discussion moderated by HSNi CEO Mindy Grossman, innovative digital retail leaders shared their best advice with students about getting started and finding success in their future careers. Words of wisdom from Blue Nile's Harvey Kanter, Starbucks' Ben Straley and Gilt's Alexandra Wilkis Wilson included these tweetworthy insights.

Of course, the learning didn't stop after morning panel discussions. In the afternoon, retail executives were on hand for impromptu mentorship conversations. Here's what students learned:
