
NRF has been conducting its annual Father’s Day survey with Prosper Insights & Analytics since 2003 to see how Americans celebrate dad on his special day.
Consumers spent a record amount for Father’s Day
Consumers collectively spent a record-high $22.9 billion to celebrate Father’s Day this year, according to the annual survey released by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics. Total spending for the holiday is up from last year’s $20 billion and exceeds the previous record of $20.1 billion in 2021.
About the survey: The 2023 survey was fielded to 8,414 consumers aged 18+ from May 1 through May 8 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.1 percentage points.
