To help retailers understand what is engaging and motivating young shoppers during the 2017 holiday season, NRF and Toluna surveyed 1,000 consumers between the ages of 18 and 36.
- 73 percent of respondents report that they enjoy shopping more during the holidays compared to the rest of the year.
- Compared to their Gen Z counterparts, Millennials are much more likely to set a holiday budget and stick to it.
- Clothes are a top gift when shopping for friends, but also for self-gifting. More than half (54%) of respondents say they’re gifting clothes to their friends and 44 percent are also treating themselves apparel and accessories for themselves.
