NRF’s Active Shooter Guidelines

Providing the retail industry with the most up-to-date information about emergency response protocols.

As a part of a long-standing partnership between the National Retail Federation, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Administration, active shooter emergency response protocols were created. NRF has facilitated meetings and conversations between DHS, FEMA, retailers, mall security and law enforcement regarding active shooters to create these materials.

NRF’s 2014 Active Shooter Guidelines provide members and the retail industry with the most up-to-date information about emergency response protocols.
