Marissa Bostick

Marissa Bostick is senior vice president and general counsel at the Nation Retail Federation. As NRF's general counsel, she advises the NRF president and CEO and NRF Board of Directors on legal, regulatory and reputational risk while leading litigation, governance, antitrust compliance, tax-exempt and political-law matters, IP, contracting, privacy and cybersecurity, and the NRF legal team.

Bostick is a senior legal executive with more than two decades of experience leading litigation, policy and compliance strategy for consumer-facing and retail-adjacent organizations. Before joining NRF, she led Sideman & Bancroft's Washington, D.C., office, served as global head of litigation for the Motion Picture Association, and built the in-house litigation function at Amazon's Counterfeit Crimes Unit. She is also a former federal prosecutor from the Southern District of New York and a former Fulbright Scholar.

At Amazon, Bostick built a first-of-its-kind litigation team inside one of the world's largest retailers, dedicated to dismantling criminal networks — one of the retail industry's top enforcement priorities. She partnered across policy, regulatory, consumer protection, data privacy, product safety and logistics teams, and served as a principal interface with law enforcement, regulators and peer companies across the retail sector.

At Sideman & Bancroft, Bostick built and led a litigation practice addressing consumer-facing enforcement issues central to retail, including ecommerce marketplace integrity and brand protection, while advising clients on the intersection of litigation, regulatory policy and government relations.

As global head of litigation for the Motion Picture Association, she led litigation strategy across the Americas, EMEA and APAC for a trade association representing eight of the world's largest consumer-facing media and commerce companies, advising on issues spanning ecommerce, platform liability and privacy.

Earlier, Bostick was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she prosecuted complex financial fraud, and a litigation associate at O'Melveny & Myers.
