Pass CORCA Now: Retailers Call for Action
The House has acted. The Senate is next. It’s time for the Senate to take up and pass the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (CORCA)(S. 1404/H.R. 2853) and send it to the President’s desk to sign into law. On May 12, the U.S. House of Representatives passed CORCA with overwhelming bipartisan support in a 348-60 vote.

What is CORCA?
The Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (S. 1404/H.R. 2853) is bipartisan legislation designed to strengthen collaboration between federal, state and local law enforcement with retailers and industry partners to fight organized retail crime. By improving coordination and information sharing, CORCA will help law enforcement identify, investigate and dismantle organized criminal theft networks that operate across state lines and impact communities nationwide.
