This legislation will allow more people to pursue a career in the transportation industry by implementing an apprenticeship program for licensed commercial drivers under the age of 21. This verified information not only gives consumers more details about who they are purchasing their products from, but also assists retailers and law enforcement to address the rising incidences of organized retail crime. Kind, DelBene, Walorski and LaHood led a bipartisan effort to urge the U.S. Trade Representative to establish a comprehensive, fair, and transparentexclusion process under Section 301 of the Trade Act.
