The U.S. economy’s rate of growth is slowing, but NRF Chief Economist Jack Kleinhenz says consumers remain financially healthy and that the nation is unlikely to enter into a recession during the remainder of 2022.

As the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act took effect, NRF, the American Apparel & Footwear Association, the Retail Industry Leaders Association and The United States Fashion Industry Association issued a joint statement calling the new law "a key component of a broad global strategy and our shared goal to end forced labor."
